The selection process of SP Jain consists of two rounds of Group Interview followed by a Psychometric test for one hour.

Group Discussion

Round 1

Each candidate in the first group interview was asked to introduce himself or herself and questions are asked on the introductions itself. Also questions are asked on the current affairs. The no of panelists were 3 to 4. The questions were asked rapidly and also questions were asked on the information given in the form and answers were crosschecked with the form. The group consisted of 6 to 7 candidates.

Round 2

Some candidates are selected for the next round and the other are asked to leave. The entire group can be rejected or selected for the second round. Also it is quite possible that a candidate may not get any time before moving for the second round.

A new group of 4 to 6 candidates were made and sent for the interview with another panel, which consists of relatively senior members.

Again a round of introduction and then individual questioning with everyone, now in more depth checking on your hobbies even a few of situation based questions were also asked.

Written Test:

The total time given was 1 hour.

After two rounds of interview there is a psychometric test with situational questions like

  • What do you like?
  • What are your dislikes?
  • What your seniors think about you?
  • What you think about yourself?
  • Why politics in India going downhill?
